Theo James Talks Boxing, Manny Pacquiao, And Coming Out Of His Shell

British actor Theo James gained a lot of fans from his role as the mysterious Four in last year’s film, “Divergent.” But what does the British actor fan over? Boxing! And he seems to follow one boxer in particular. “I love Pacquiao,” he says and admits he’d love to meet Manny Pacquiao. Theo said he’ll be watching the Filipino fighter’s upcoming match with Floyd Mayweather on TV due to a prior social commitment but wished him luck, even if he doesn’t need it. Theo himself studied Filipino martial arts for his role as David in “Underworld: Awakening.”

When asked how he compares to the most popular character he’s played thus far, Theo admits he’s shy in real life. “Like Four, I have great biceps and I guess the similarity ends there,” Theo says. “Four is a guy who expects the world to treat him the way he likes to be treated and I’m not like that. Sometimes, I can be the quiet person so I have to push myself to come out of my shell. Four is probably more serious than I am.”

The second installment in the YA series adapted from the novels by Veronica Roth, “Insurgent” starring Theo James and Shailene Woodley hits theatres on March 20th.
