Divergent has been such a huge part of my life. It has been 4 years since I read the series and fell in love. Since then I have started my own IG account based on the trilogy+Four and information all about the cast. I have also seen Veronica, Shai, and Ansel in person. Plus I painted the insurgent book cover tree on my wall. If you can’t tell I am a little obsessed! Theo has also greatly impacted my life. It’s great to have a star like him bring my favorite male character to life.

After seeing the movie DIVERGENT a few times I decided I wanted to read the Insurgent book before the movie comes out. I read Divergent first to see how Veronica Roth writes and then began Insurgent. I am only half way done but I have become part of the fandom for Divergent and also Shailene and Theo. and I’m 45. Adults can get into this stuff too

I’m an initiate and a Theologian because ever since reading Divergent three years ago, I’ve seen the world with different eyes and The Divergent Series has taught me to conquer my fears and that life is better than death; that fighting is always better than flying.That’s why I’m an initiate/Theologian.
I’ve learned so many ways to look at things from a different perspective or you could say a Divergent perspective. I could not love any series more than this one. I have fallen in love with this story and have never stopped thinking about it, even when I’m not speaking you could probably read the thoughts clearly on my face; it’s either me daydreaming about Four or me thinking about the next free minute I have to re-read the books. I believe that this trilogy has some important values instilled in it and after I read the books I always think twice about everything, always questioning and daring to do things outside my comfort zone. As for Theo I love him, he’s got such a sense of humor and he’s so handsome. I embrace being different and would love to be considered a true Divergent Initiate and THEOlogian.

Although there probably are many many other fans who love Theo more than me, I believe that I know a great sum about Theo (Im pretty sure Im stalking Theo James on the internet but um…) I like to consider Theo my “Dream Husband” and its in alot of my bio’s but well, he has Ruth Kearney. I love Theo James to a point where my friends probably become annoyed with me talking about him. I mostly talk about marrying him, but I know thats never going to happen. //starts ranting just about now// Theo James has Ruth Kearney who, I might add, is incredibly beautiful and talented.(so there goes the first chance of marrying him.) I support Theo James in any career in he pursues, and I believe he is very talented as well. He can sing like a GOD! His voice is incredibly beautiful and I just cant-
I also consider myself to be an initiate. I absolutely love the Divergent Series. I love to talk about it and make edits of Divergent pictures in my free time. I’ve read the book so many times and probably can resite most the quotes.(I dont think I’m the only one.) I also love the movie, even if many people dislike it. I believe that it turned the Divergent world alive. Divergent taught me many lessons as well. To stand up for myself as well as others. To love myself for being who I am. To help others when no one else will. Divergent is one of those books that impacted my life. Insurgent and Allegent also impacted my life just like Divergent did. I’m both a theologian and an initiate because I have an undying love for the AMAZING divergent series. To be a theologian, you must have a love for Theo and must look up to him. I look up to him because he is such a great actor and person. As an actor, he looks up to his coworkers for their opinion, works hard to succeed, and is just a very humble and modest person in general. He really has a high regard for Shailene and listens to her and treats her as a real friend and person, not just another celebrity actor. I love Theo because he, even though Shai is in a relationship, stays true and humble and does not take anything out on Shai. He is VERY handsome and self confident, but not to the point where he’s boasting. He has a very calm manner and if I may say so myself, HILARIOUS! I am also an initiate because the Divergent series had changed my life. Veronica incorperates so many values and wonderful life lessons, while also keeping the books clean and family friendly. To me, the details that she engages in the book are so miniscule and mind-blowing and the way she writes is just flat out beautiful. The books flow so smoothly and are so creative. One of the main reasons I am in initiate is because the faction system really made me think a lot about my self: like, which faction would I be in, would I be divergent, if so, could I hide my divergence… etc. The government really fascinates me because of how it is run/how it works. The world of Divergent has really changed my views and made me want to be a better person. I also just started reading Insurgent for the FOURTH time today! Amazing, right?! Divergent is one of the multiple fandoms featured in my fandom account, and you know, I might just be a little bit (haha, more like totally) obsessed. I love Fourtris, and many other Divergent ships. (if you ask my six year old brother what another word for four is, he will say Tobias) I pretty much love everything about Divergent, and can’t wait for Insurgent!
I have read all of the books in the series; they are amazing! Even though the Insurgent movie looks a bit different from the book, I’m not judging until I see it. I loved the first movie (minor changes, but it was still really good), and I’m sure I’ll love the second. Also, Theo James is one beautiful man. There is no way you can’t love him.
When I discovered DIVERGENT and its world I was completely engulfed in it. I fell in love with the books and have read them countless times, each time picking up on something new. The film has made a dramatic impact upon my life, especially the phenomenal cast. Shailene Woodley is the most influential person on my life and if it weren’t for DIVERGENT neither she nor I would be the people we are today. Theo James, through his sense of humor and unprecented ability to understand, has helped me to comprehend how many sides or pieces go into a person. Both him and Shailene have given me people to look up to for years to come and models of people who are true to themselves as we should be. The story of DIVERGENT is so unique in many ways, the first being the arc of Tris’ path to strength from a place of subtle oppression to full scale responsibility of protecting the world she lives in. Throughout, she is required to look to herself to find the courage and confidence she needs to deal with every day situations. Four’s character is so dynamic and is constantly needing to be rediscovered since he has a dark and mysterious past as well as his own demons that haunt him during his time in Dauntless. Finally, the romance associated with these two complex characters is unusual in the sense that it is built on mutual respect and working together. It isn’t revolving around an obsession with each other, but they truly need one another’s skill sets to survive in their changing society. All elements of DIVERGENT have changed my life in all the best of ways and will continue to inspire my every day life.

I am an initiate, because I love both the book and movie series. I love how the stories focus on relationships and character growth as well. For instance, Tris believes that she is too selfish to be part of Abnegation. At the end, it’s clear that she was selfless and sacrificed herself for the greater good. I also love Four/Tobias who was sort of “broken” before Tris came along. Fourtris is my favorite relationship ever, because they need each other beyond romance. They truly helped each other grow and mend. They also have a lot of conflict which represents actual relationships. Generally, the Divergent story reminds us that we are NOT just one thing- we are many things. We shouldn’t try to define ourselves. We should just “be us”- be our natural selves. I also really loved how they only had interest in each other (no triangles). In terms of Shailene and Theo- I can’t even begin to explain my love for them. By far, they are the most influential individuals in my life. I love how down to earth and free-spirited they are. I also love, their approach to life- keeping close to your friends and family; but also staying true to yourself.

They seem like they could be real people who are living today or in the future like the book explains. I let my imagination take over while I am reading these books and can see myself in their shoes. Veronica Roth did an excellent job at taking us to a place that could actually happen and show how two people deal with each other and their surroundings, while at the same time, maturing into adults.

I’m an initiate because the books have changed me so much for the better. They’re my number 1 favourite books. I just adore Veronica Roth for sticking to the lessons of the book – being brave. And she’s like the first author to end a series the way it did (don’t want to spoil it for anyone) And Tris such an inspiration to me, I’m kinda similar to Beatrice during her last few Abnegation days and just seeing the way Tris’ character evolves, it just gives me hope.
Honesty I’m an Initiate/Theologian because I fell in love with the books in a time where things weren’t so great. The books gave me an outlet, and a way to forget about my world and go to Tris’ world. And when the characters were cast I was ecstatic for them to come to life. They just helped me through a hard time.

I love how Tris is like a angel with a shotgun, and she falls in love, but not in a cheesy way. Uhm helllloooo!! DIvergent is my life !! It all started when my friend Ana lent me the book and I was like why not?? Then within the first 7 pages I was hoooked! I finished the book in 2 hours and went home and scrolled on tumblr where i made a divergent blog. Then low and behold 6 months later the movie came out!

I’m not going to lie, I’ve probably been a fan of Divergent the shortest time here. Most of the fans here, have probably been a fan since the books came out. Unfortunately, I have not. I’m not really much of a reader, and I had never heard of Divergent until I seen the trailer for the first time. When I seem the Divergent trailer for the first time, I was interested. I was at the movie theater one day and the manager of our theater asked if I was going to go see Divergent when it came out. I told her that I wasn’t for sure, but I probably would go and check it out. I came home that evening, and guess what shows up on my tv? The Divergent trailer. I kept seeing it over and over and so, I said, ” Yeah, I’m going to go see that. I had no idea what the movie was about, apart from the trailer but I was so intrigued that I didn’t even care. I was excited and couldn’t wait to see the movie. I went to see Divergent opening day, March 21. Walking in, I had no clue if I’d like it or what the movie even was, and I walked out OBSESSED. I went and bought the book and immediately started reading. I kept going back to our mall to FYE, because I was so obsessed with Divergent, and FYE had tons of Divergent merchandise. After I had seen the movie, and seen all that FYE had, I honestly felt like I was in heaven. I kept saying, ” Oh, I need that.”, or ” I want that.” They had a Four Cardboard Standee, and I went and hugged him everytime. Everytime I went to FYE, I walked out with several packs of Trading Cards. I was so obsessed that I bought myself a Binder, Trading Card Sleeves and started a collection. I have over 100 cards. There’s only 71 in the collection, but I have a lot of extras. I have 2 posters in my room of Divergent. I have the mini poster that came in the movie tie – in edition of the book, and I have a huge Divergent poster that I got from FYE. Once I get a job, I plan on buying several copies of Divergent. I only have one now but I want to get the special ones from Target and other stores. I watched Divergent 3 times in theaters and I know the other movies in the series will be no different. When Divergent came on DVD, I watched it every single day, at least twice a day. I couldn’t get enough of it and I still can’t. I could even tell you some of the words from the movie before it even left the theater. Tonight, I am going to go see Insurgent at 9:30. I bought a Insurgent shirt from Walmart, and I screamed when I found it. I am so excited to watch Insurgent and I can’t wait! I wish I was leaving to go see it right now. I know I haven’t been a fan as long as most other fans, but I am seriously obsessed with this series. I may not have been a fan since the beginning, but I WILL be a fan forever. I am a proud Initiate and I am Divergent and I cannot be controlled!

I also forgot to add that Tris is also an inspiration to me. I’m going back to Nursing School starting this upcoming August and Tris inspires me that no matter how weak you think you are, or no matter how many obstacles comes in your way, that someway, you have to find the strength to power through that. To be brave, and to never give up. This August, Fear will NOT shut me down. It WILL wake me up!

I have not read the series yet, but I really enjoyed Divergent. I want to watch all the movies before I read the series because the books are usually best. I love Tris in Divergent because she gradually becomes a strong character and takes a stand for what she believes in.

I’ve loved the Divergent series for as long as I can remember!! I really want to win this price pack because I never have any money to buy merchandise with and it is pure torture. Divergent and Theo mean a lot to me because they made me realize I don’t need to fit in. It’s better to be different so be yourself day in and day out. Once I figured out how to live more like a divergent then I started making friends and found people that share the same interests as me and I’ve never been happier. It’s either pure happiness or I just ate some Amity bread!! Thank you Veronica Roth for an amazing story that not only has effected the way I see things but people everywhere who now know being different is better
