Theo James Continues Filming ‘The Secret Scripture’ in Ireland

Filming continues in Ireland on the film adaptation of Sebastian Barry’s “The Secret Scripture.” Last week, the cast including Theo James and Rooney Mara were spotted filming in and around Dublin Bay. This week, shooting began in Inistioge as the town was transformed into a Hollywood set for Director Jim Sheridan. The setting looks perfect in going with the poetic descriptions of lovely Ireland in Barry’s novel.

This isn’t the first time Inistioge, Co Kilkenny has been the backdrop for a major motion picture. Scenes from 1995’s “Circle of Friends” starring Chris O’Donnell and Minnie Driver were shot there as well as 1994’s “Widow’s Peak” starring Mia Farrow.

“The Secret Scripture” is scheduled to film in Ireland through early March and it’s release is anticipated for late this year.
